Evolve takes home three iF Design Awards in 2024.

Big news for Team Evolve! We’re excited to share that we’ve taken home three iF DESIGN AWARDS for 2024—spanning Brand, Product, and Environmental Categories. Here’s a little about each project:

OZNIS MAG 01

From foundational research, to concept, to prototyping, to engineering, to visiting the TALEX factory in Osaka... this iF Design Award-winning project was a dream. Evolve partnered with heritage brand TALEX, makers of premium eyewear and lenses, for several years now. For this project, we set out to create the ultimate prescription eyewear for active people, with a lens for every moment, every environment, every activity. The result is a premium and ultralight prescription frame system developed for their in-house brand OZNIS. See more here.

TALEX 85

Sometimes you need to look back to look ahead. And sometimes a simple artifact can be the starting point for something much bigger. This project with TALEX—a long-standing partner of Evolve—was exactly that. To celebrate their 85th company anniversary, we collaborated on a brand campaign that commemorates nearly a century of innovation in lens technology. What a fun brief. The result is a simple visual system extracted from one of their heritage logos. From foundational strategy, to brand identity, to brand expression across various touch-points, we couldn’t be happier with the result.

KOTOBUKI

In February of 2023, our friends from Kotobuki visited us from Japan for a week-long design sprint. The result? The SOLID Bench—a modular seating system for public spaces designed to provide a functional, affordable, and scalable solution for municipalities. Working side-by-side with Kotobuki in our Portland design studio, with time as a key driver, the team was able to go from foundational concept to final design in just about 5 days.
